Customers placing a qualifying bet of R20 or more on a World Cup Knockout match are accumulating a position on the SportPesa Survivor Leaderboard. Qualifying bets placed on each match day during the FIFA World Cup 2026 Knockout Stage contribute to a customer's Leaderboard position.

The top 25 Leaderboard positions share a R100,000 cash prize pool.

Daily prizes are also distributed, including Mobile Data, Gaming Consoles, MacBooks and iPhones.

How It Works

1. A qualifying bet is a bet of R20 or more placed on a World Cup Knockout match, between 28 June and 19 July 2026 (22 days).
2. Each qualifying bet generates an entry into the Daily Draw and the SportPesa Rewards Draw for that day.
3. SportPesa tracks customer participation across the promotion. Each match a customer places a qualifying bet on contributes to that customer's position on the Survivor Leaderboard, which determines eligibility for the R100,000 Grand Prize.

The Survivor Leaderboard Explained

Your Leaderboard position is based on a single FINAL SCORE, made up of two parts:
•    How many World Cup Knockout matches you've placed a qualifying bet on
•    How much you've won across all your qualifying bets

The match count component carries greater weight than the winnings component. The full calculation is set out below.

Step 1 — Your Match Score (out of 100)
This is simply the percentage of Knockout matches you've bet on, out of the 32 total.
Match Score  =  (Matches You've Bet On ÷ 32) × 100
A customer who has placed a qualifying bet on all 32 matches has a Match Score of 100. A customer on 16 matches has a Match Score of 50.

Step 2 — Your Winnings Score (out of 100)
This is your total winnings (stake plus profit combined) measured against a cap of R20,000. Winning R20,000 or more across the promotion gives you the maximum Winnings Score of 100 — winning more than that doesn't add anything further.
Winnings Score  =  (Total Winnings ÷ R20,000) × 100  (capped at 100)

Step 3 — Combine Match and Winnings Score - Weighted
Your Match Score and Winnings Score are then combined — but not equally. Matches bet on count for 65% of your FINAL SCORE, while winnings count for only 35%.
FINAL SCORE  =  (Match Score × 65%)  +  (Winnings Score × 35%)
As a result, the number of matches a customer has placed qualifying bets on carries close to twice the weight of their winnings amount in the FINAL SCORE.

Example

Thabo:  Match Score = (32÷32)×100 = 100.   Winnings Score = (2,000÷20,000)×100 = 10.   FINAL SCORE = (100×65%) + (10×35%) = 65 + 3.5 = 68.5
Sarah:  Match Score = (7÷32)×100 = 21.9.   Winnings Score = (8,000÷20,000)×100 = 40.   FINAL SCORE = (21.9×65%) + (40×35%) = 14.2 + 14 = 28.2
In this example, Thabo's FINAL SCORE is higher than Sarah's despite Sarah's larger winnings amount, illustrating how the match count component affects the calculation.

Grand Prize — Leaderboard Payout

The R100,000 Grand Prize pool is shared across the top 25 Leaderboard positions. The amounts below are the prize at each position if the 100% match threshold is reached (32 matches) — see the Match Threshold Scaling table further down for how this amount is adjusted if fewer matches were bet on.

Eligibility Requirements

•    All participants must have placed at least 5 qualifying bets to remain eligible for Daily Prizes from 10–19 July.
•    Only FICA-verified accounts are eligible for prizes and cash rewards under this promotion.
 •   Self-excluded customers are not eligible for this promotion.
•    Any suspicion of under-age account operation will result in account closure and termination, and all promo funds/credits will be voided.
•    Third-party account operation or any other fraudulent activity, as determined by SportPesa, will void any potential winnings and prize eligibility.
